Molokhia or Jew's Mallow is the most delicious and famous food for Arabs especially in Egypt eaten at lunchtime .Every country has its own recipe for preparing. Some people prefer cooking Jew's with chicken and others with meat. It depends on their desires. There are many steps we have to follow in order to have successful and delicious Jew's Mallow. I am going to explain how to make chicken Jew's Mallow. I am going to talk about its main ingredients and recipe.
The main ingredients
For preparing Jew's Mallow :
250 grams of mallow leaves
Ten cloves of ground garlic
Ten cloves of chopped garlic
One tablespoon of ground coriander
One teaspoon of salt
One tablespoon of ghee
For preparing chicken :
One kilo gram of precooked chicken
One teaspoon of salt
One cinnamon stick
One peeled onion
One teaspoon of ground black pepper

For preparing rice :
One tablespoon of vermicelli
Two cups of precooked rice
One tablespoon of ghee
Two teaspoon of salt
Two cups and a half of water


The first step, before you cook the rice, you have to wash it and   leave the rice in water for about an hour.

Then put one tablespoon of ghee in the pot and heat it over medium high heat .After that, add the one tablespoon of vermicelli and move it until it is fried well.

  Later, pour the two cups and a half of water into the pot and the two tablespoons of salt .Leave the water in the pot until it is boiled, and then pour the two cups of rice over the boiled water after removing its water and cover the pot. Leave it for about half an hour until it is cooked well.







The second step put the chicken in a large pot and fills the pot with water. Then add the one cinnamon stick, the one peeled onion, the one teaspoon of salt and the one teaspoon of ground black pepper to the pot and heat it over medium high heat until it is cooked well. After that, remove the bones from the chicken and put it aside keeping its broth.





The third step ,put the cloves of ground garlic in a frying pan with one tablespoon of ghee and a little of coriander and keep stirring them to be fried well and leave them aside .




The fourth step , which is the last step , put the cloves of chopped garlic in a pot and fry them until they are toasted



 then add the mallow leaves to the same pot and fill the pot with the broth of chicken until the mallow leaves are immersed .After that, cut the chicken into pieces and put them in the pot in addition to the one teaspoon of salt and the one tablespoon of ground coriander and covered the pot over medium high heat .It takes about an hour to be cooked well with  a constant watch . After the Jew's mallow is cooked well , put the ground fried garlic at the top of the Jew's mallow.




Jew's Mallow is served and eaten with rice. You can also squeeze a lemon over the Jew's Mallow if you would like.


In my opinion Jew's Mallow is very delicious food and I recommend everyone who does not know it to try it and I am sure she or he will like it
