Many women are delayed to know that they are pregnant , especially during the first few weeks and until the first month, So the patterns of their  nutrition are as they were in the past. We should  restrict some things which include a healthy and balanced nutrition ensuring a good health for the mother and fetus during the coming months and the stage of lactation.
In this month, a pregnant woman does not expect any increase in weight, so that the rate of increase during the first three months is only between (0.4-1.7 kg) .
 Vomiting 
Vomiting Usually begins at this stage (the first third). If you suffer from vomiting, follow the following recommendations:
1- Divide your three meals into light six snacks on your stomach during the day.
2-Eat foods easy to digest such as starches: pasta, potatoes, bread, toast, muffins, fruits ... and protein-rich foods and low in fat  such as meat, chicken, fish, milk and its low in fat derivatives .
3- You should eat food rich in carbohydrates 15-20 minutes before getting up , for example, cakes, biscuits, bread, toast or breakfast cereals.
4- you should have liquids among meals not with them.
5-Stay away from fatty foods, fried, pastry and spices.
 Vitamins and minerals pills
 After consulting your doctor, he may advise you to take "folic acid" pills during the first month or even before pregnancy because they are very important for a normal growth of the fetus.

 There are many natural sources of folic acid, which are, :
green leafy vegetables (spinach, parsley, watercress, ...)
whole wheat bread
• kinds of legumes (lentils, beans, chickpeas, beans)
