Learning how to make Shakriya and bulgur for Arabs

Shakriya

Shakriya and bulgur is the most delicious and famous food for Arabs eaten at lunchtime. Everyone has his own recipe of preparing . Some people prefer Shakriya with bulgur and others with rice ,but personally I prefer it with bulgur. I am going to talk about its main ingredients and recipe
The main ingredients of Shakriya
One kilo of chopped meat
Half a kilo of yogurt
Two onions chopped into small pieces
One piece of cinnamon
One tablespoon of starch
One tablespoon of dry mint
One tablespoon of salt
The main ingredients of bulgur
  Two tablespoons of vermicelli
  Two tablespoons of ghee
Two cups of bulgur
Four cups of water
Two tablespoons of salt
The recipe
To prepare the sauce of Shakriya, put one kilo of chopped meat in a pot in addition to the chopped onions, one piece of cinnamon and the one tablespoon of salt and fill the meat with water until it is covered . Then heat the pot in medium high heat and leave the meat to be cooked well

After that, put the half a kilo of yogurt in another pot in addition to the one tablespoon of starch and the one tablespoon of dry mint and keep moving them

Pour the broth of the meat over the sauce and keep moving it over low heat until the mixture become coherent 

Finally, add the meat to the sauce

  You can decorate Shakriya with toasted nuts and parseley

To prepare bulgur, put the two tablespoons of ghee in a pot in addition to the two tablespoons of vermicelli and keep moving vermicelli until it is toasted

Then pour the four cups of water to the same pot in addition to the two tablespoons of salt and leave the water until it is boiled

After that ,add the two cups of bulgur to the pot and leave it to be cooked well
