 The miracle of Quran on Seas and Rivers

Modern Science has discovered that in the spots where two different seas get together , there is a barricade between them.  This barricade splits the two seas so that each sea has its own temperature, salinity, and intensity .1  For example, Mediterranean sea water is warm, salty , and less intense, compared to Atlantic ocean water.  When Mediterranean sea water come in the Atlantic over the Gibraltar threshold , it stirs many hundred kilometers into the Atlantic at a deepness of about 1000 meters with its own warm, salty , and less intense qualities .  The Mediterranean water becomes stable  at this deepness (see figure 13).

Although there are huge waves, powerful currents, and tides in these seas, they do not mingle or exceed this barricade .

The Holy Quran stated that there is a barricade between two seas that get together and that they do not exceed.  God has said:
 He has set free the two seas meeting together.  There is a barrier between them.  They do not transgress.  (Quran, 55:19-20)
However,when the Quran states the divider between fresh and salt water, it indicates to the presence of “a invincible division ” with the barricade .  God has said in the Quran:
 He is the one who has set free the two kinds of water, one sweet and palatable, and the other salty and bitter.  And He has made between them a barrier and a forbidding partition.  (Quran, 25:53)
One may ask, why did the Quran states the division when talking about the divider between fresh and salty water, but did not indicate to it when talking about the divider between the two seas?

Modern science has discovered that in embouchure , where fresh (sweet) and salty water get together , the situation is somewhat different from what is existed in spots where two seas get together .  It has been discovered that what differentiates fresh water from salty water in embouchure  is a “pycnocline zone with a remarkable intense cutout detaching the two layers.”3  This division (zone of separation) has a different salinity from the fresh water and from the salt water4 (see figure 14).

This information has been discovered only lately , using developed tools to scale temperature, salinity, intensity , oxygen dissolubility, etc.  The human eye cannot see the difference between the two seas that get together , rather the two seas seem to us as one homogeneous sea.  Likewise, the human eye cannot see the split of water in embouchures into the three types : fresh water, salt water, and the division (zone of separation).
